Farming used to be an experiential relationship between the community and the source of all sustenance, nature.
Over time our communities have increasingly become divorced from food production, a distance made even greater by processed and packaged foods.
Although there is more farming, there are fewer farmers.
Additionally food comes to us from grocery stores. We used to know where our food came from but now it may not even be clear what country our food is coming from.
Does this loss of connection have an effect on our health and habits?
Are there ways that a food system could be designed to be healthier and more local?
Are there other considerations related to the food system?
Put it in a story!
